Most people wait for permission. They wait for the right moment, the right credentials, the right introduction.
I grew up in Western Sydney with none of that. No network. No trust fund. No blueprint.
Start Before You’re Ready
The first agency I built was held together with duct tape and audacity. I didn’t know what I was doing. I figured it out by doing it.
That’s the whole secret, really. You can just do things.
What I’ve Learned
Here’s what nobody tells you when you’re starting out:
- Nobody is coming to save you. That’s not pessimism — it’s freedom.
- Speed beats perfection. Ship it. Fix it later.
- Your background is an advantage. When you have nothing to lose, you move differently.
- Write everything down. Your future self will thank you.
Why I’m Writing This
I’m starting this blog because I wish someone had written this for me ten years ago. Not motivational fluff — real talk about building things, making mistakes, and figuring it out as you go.
If you’re reading this and you’re waiting for permission: this is it. Go do the thing.
